Project 1: Breathe Easy

When designing the Breathe Easy, I knew one of the requiremnts would be sanitation. Tackling this, I made the CPAP to be entirely disassembled for quick and easy cleaning.

Concept

I set out to redesign the CPAP machine for aesthetics. Turning an industrial designed piece of medical equipment into a sculptural and functional piece of technology.

The gap between the front panel and the back body panel pulls in cold air. Vents on the top of the CPAP machine release warm air.

Aluminum back piece allows the Breathe Easy to be wall mounted, as well as provide storage for the tubing.

Base piece allows the Breathe Easy to stand upright on a nightstand or table.

Cut outs allow for easy cable management of the power cable.

Color Palettes

Mobile app made for controlling settings of the machine. The app also gives alerts to the user when the humidifier is running low on water, or when the air filter needs to be changed.

App tracks statistics of sleep apnea, allowing the user to directly send information to their doctor.
